Seamus Coleman gobsmacked by Everton teammate Dwight McNeil in ‘class player’ verdict’
Seamus Coleman is “so pleased” for his Everton teammate Dwight McNeil who is now showing fans what he is all about in the relegation fight.
The defender’s comments come after the winger scored a brace and added an assist in the club’s 5-1 win at Brighton earlier this month.
Club captain Coleman believes Toffees supporters are now starting to see the best of McNeil in an Everton shirt after a quiet few months at Goodison Park.

“I am so pleased for Dwight McNeil to be showing what he’s all about,” said Coleman, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo. “He’s a class player, and the Evertonians are seeing that now on a regular basis.
“He’s playing with such confidence, and that was demonstrated so clearly when, in the last minute at Brighton, he could have just held the ball in the corner, but he decided to whack it in the top corner of the net instead.”

Trying to save Everton
McNeil hasn’t had his best season in the Premier League, having previously shone under Sean Dyche at Burnley.
But he has come alive when his club have needed him most, with the winger registering four goals and one assist in his last six games for the Toffees.
The 23-year-old particularly came alive against the Seagulls, with his ability on show for all to see in the stunning victory.
And that ability will be key in the club’s last two matches of the campaign, with McNeil set to be full of confidence going into the matches against Wolves and Bournemouth.
The Toffees have not been excelling in the final third this season, with constant injuries to striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin forcing other Everton players to step up.
It has only really been McNeil to do that, but Dyche will not care one bit as long as the job gets done at the end of the day.
