Alan Myers shares Dominic Calvert-Lewin injury verdict ahead of Everton v Wolves
Alan Myers expects Dominic Calvert-Lewin to play for Everton v Wolves with the game being extremely crucial for their survival hopes.
The Toffees visit Molineux on Saturday, 20 May, knowing that a win could secure their spot in the Premier League next season should Leeds and Leicester drop points.
However, a loss and other results going against them could even see Sean Dyche’s men fall to 19th so the stakes remain high.
Discussing Calvert-Lewin’s availability after he was not spotted in training, Sky Sports’ Myer wrote on Twitter, “I’d expect him to play personally.”
Needed at all costs
Everton have struggled whenever they’ve not had a focal point leading the line for them this season so it’s important that the Englishman plays.
He may not be in form but is still an important presence in the final third as he naturally draws defenders towards him due to his stature.
He’s also good with the ball at his feet and defenders know that they need to close him down or he gets a good shot on goal.

Neal Maupay, Ellis Simms and Demarai Gray have all been tried in his stead and none of them have managed to make that role their own.
Hopefully, this is just a false alarm and he will be available and perhaps even starting the game against Wolves.
Dyche has shared a positive update on the striker so unless something dramatic has happened since then, he should be fine.
