Julen Lopetegui shares mystery Wolves injury ahead of clash v Everton
Julen Lopetegui has shared that Wolves are dealing with an injury to a mystery player ahead of the clash with Everton this weekend.
The Toffees travel to Molineux on Saturday afternoon in their penultimate Premier League clash of the season, sitting just one point above the relegation zone.
Wolves are already safe and have nothing to play for now, but their manager has already admitted there will be some changes to his team with one mystery player picking up an injury in training while a decision has been made about who will play in goal too.
“Latest here from Julen Lopetegui’s press conference: A small injury problem in training, wouldn’t say who, will be assessed tomorrow,” journalist Liam Keen wrote on his personal Twitter account (18 May).
“Decision made on which goalkeeper will play, but also wouldn’t say who.”
Boost
An injury problem almost definitely means that Wolves will not be at their strongest heading into the game, even if the mystery player ends up playing.
But on top of that, the manager is quite clearly already thinking ahead to next season by messing with his goalkeeper options.

Jose Sa has been the number one all season but it was Dan Bentley who got the nod last time around against Manchester United and he turned in a great performance too.
It was his full debut and he performed brilliantly so he could well start, but Everton will be super confident if that happens because his lack of experience will be something that they can target from set-pieces to get a result.
It’s a boost for Everton that they know to possibly expect some surprises in the game and know that the opposition are not completely focused, which could open the door for a huge result.
