Sean Dyche delivers injury update on Everton ace Tom Davies ahead of Wolves clash
Tom Davies is “highly unlikely” to play for Everton in their clash against Wolves on Saturday (20 May).
A hamstring tendon injury has been confirmed by Toffees boss Sean Dyche ahead of the game at Molineux in what could be a crucial Premier League outing.
Davies has been used sparingly under Dyche, with the midfielder largely watching on from the bench in recent months under Frank Lampard as well.

Everton make the trip to Wolves currently sitting 17th in the Premier League table, having lost 3-0 last time out to Manchester City.
The Merseyside outfit are just one point above the relegation zone with just two matches remaining.
“He’s had an injury as well and so we are missing him, it’s a hamstring tendon injury so he is highly unlikely to feature this weekend,” said Dyche, as quoted by BBC Sport.

Squad effort
As mentioned, Davies hasn’t exactly been one of Dyche’s most favoured players, but the manager will still want to be able to choose from his entire squad for the final two matches of the season.
Every player fighting fit and fighting for places definitely raises the standards both on the pitch and on the training ground, but the manager unfortunately won’t be able to call upon Davies for that this weekend.
It really is a squad effort at this tense stage of the season, with the Toffees in real danger of dropping down to the Championship.
They can, however, take real confidence from the fact that their upcoming opponents have already secured their Premier League safety, with Wolves having very little to play for in their final two games.
The host side will, of course, want to put a show on for their fans in their final home game of the season, but Everton should really be in the driving seat going into the game in terms of fight and hunger.
