Jeff Stelling reacts to Dominic Calvert-Lewin injury blow for Everton v Wolves live on Sky Sports
Jeff Stelling has insisted that it could be “very bad news” for Everton after Dominic Calvert-Lewin limped off in the Premier League clash against Wolves.
The Sky Sports host admitted it wasn’t just bad news for today, but potentially the rest of the season as he went straight down the tunnel after the blow.
Despite that, Yerry Mina managed to pop up in the 98th minute to score a scrappy equaliser to make sure the Toffees left with one point in a 1-1 draw.

Speaking live on Sky Sports News [20 May], Stelling reacted to the footage coming back into the studio from Molineux in what could be a huge blow.
“This could be very bad news indeed, as far as Everton are concerned,” he said. [15:45]
“Not just for today, but for the rest of the season.”

Huge.
This could be season-defining.
Calvert-Lewin has been sensational since his return from injury, with Sean Dyche’s decision to hold him back for some weeks fully justified.
He may not have scored a bagful of goals, but he was untouchable against Brighton in that huge win, occupying the defenders so those around him could run riot.
Of course, he missed plenty of chances before going off against Wolves, but his impact is much more than just scoring goals, as he proved at the AMEX Stadium.
Dyche and the fans will have everything crossed that Calvert-Lewin coming off early when he did and going straight for treatment will mean that he can recover for next week.
Everton will need a win to confirm their Premier League status against Bournemouth on the final day, and having the striker available will make that much more likely.
