Super Computer makes Everton relegation prediction after Leeds United v West Ham United

Everton have been predicted to stay up in the Premier League after Leeds United suffered a 3-1 defeat to West Ham on Sunday, 21 May.

FiveThirtyEight’s Super Computer crunched the numbers and they give the Toffees a 75 per cent chance to avoid relegation.

Leicester have only a 19 per cent chance while Leeds, after their shambolic loss are left with just six.

In their hands

Everton would’ve taken this on the final day of the season and they will be delighted that Leeds and Leicester have done them a huge favour.

For Leicester to stay up, they need to get something against Newcastle and hope both the Toffees and Leeds lose their respective games on the final day, while they would look to get the adequate points against West Ham.

Leeds would need to beat Spurs and hope that Everton lose to Bournemouth as if they draw, Sam Allardyce’s men will have to win by a three-goal margin.

It works perfectly for Everton and realistically, avoiding defeat should be enough for them to get over the line.

Had there not been last-minute drama against Wolves, Sean Dyche’s men would have been forced to win against Bournemouth on the final day.

With all the takeover talk in the background, it’s going to be a lot smoother if they remain a Premier League side for next season.
