Carena Duffy quits Goodison Park role as Everton fundraising manager

Carena Duffy has reportedly quit her role at Goodison Park where she served as the fundraising manager for Everton.

Sky Sports news editor Alan Myers took to Twitter to reveal this news and thanked her for her service to the club.

She began as a casual matchday lounge staff member in 2004 and stayed at the club for nearly two decades before her decision to move to pastures new.

Via Twitter, Myers wrote, “Sad to hear that @efc_fundraiser has left Everton, she’s done so much good and helped the lives of so many and above all is an amazing human being, good luck Carena in all you do! :blue_heart:I know Everton fans will feel the same.”

Great work

Duffy was someone who was loved by the fans and the love she’s received on social media is no less than what she deserves.

She had a career in travel and tourism before she moved to Goodison Park and that undoubtedly helped her in becoming an amiable person behind the scenes.

Fans have given back to the community and got involved with a lot of work done by the Toffees due to Duffy’s influence.

She also initiated a project called The People’s Place, a fundraising campaign to create a purpose-built mental health facility on Spellow Lane.

Duffy has lived up to the message of Everton being a club that gives back to the community and continued to maintain the identity of a people’s team.

However, things are different when you go higher up the food chain, especially with everything going on around Farhad Moshiri.
