We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Everton...

On loan defender Ruben Vinagre will not be available for the Everton v Bournemouth clash on Sunday, 28 May, claims Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that he can be out for a number of months due to his Achilles problem that’s ruled him out of action for a number of months.

Sean Dyche confirmed in April that the 24-year-old had undergone surgery and was set to be out for a while, but did not rule him out for the rest of the season then.

Speaking exclusively with Goodison News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said, “Can safely rule him out for the game against Bournemouth.

“This sounds like a long-term injury that may be related to his recent Achilles problem.”

Vinagre has endured a disastrous time on loan at Goodison Park, making just two appearances and playing a combined 24 minutes.

He last featured for Everton in November when they lost 4-1 to Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup with him playing the entire game.

It’s understood that he has to undergo a complex recovery procedure before he can return to full fitness and play again.

In July, when he signed from Sporting Lisbon, the Portuguese side had included the option to buy him permanently for a £17million fee. [90 Min]

Along with Vinagre, Dele Alli, Andros Townsend and Seamus Coleman are also guaranteed to miss the next game.
