Everton to make official offer to Rangers ‘Star Player’ Ryan Kent in short time

Everton are expected to make an official bid for out-of-contract Rangers star Ryan Kent in a short-time, according to Fotomac.

The 25-year-old former Liverpool youngster has spent the last five years at Ibrox but will leave the club when his current deal expires at the end of this season.

It had been expected that he would be heading to Fenerbahce on a three-year contract with the option of a fourth, on a deal worth around £1.5m per year, but now Everton have stepped in and will try to convince him to come to England instead.

“It was claimed that the yellow-dark blue team would sign a 3+1 year contract with the English football player. It was reported that Kent will earn 1.7 million Euros annually from Fenerbahçe,” they wrote.

“Bad news came to Fenerbahçe , which was counting down for the transfer of Ryan Kent. The English team is expected to make an official offer to the star player in a short time.”

Exciting

Kent is a very good winger with electric pace and fantastic creativity, as shown by his ten assists this season in a struggling Rangers side.

His form this season hasn’t been the greatest considering how good Rangers are in their domestic league, but it’s fair to say that his motivation has arguably been faltering since it became clear that he would be leaving the club.

Everton would present a familiar stomping ground for him having come through the academy at Liverpool previously and would represent a brand new challenge for him.

Obviously he’d be more tempted to turn his back on Fenerbahce if we were in the Premier League, but coming to the Championship if we were to be relegated isn’t a total turn off because he’d be guaranteed regular first-team football.

It’s set to be an interesting summer and an offer is likely to go in once our Premier League status is confirmed one way or another, so it’s certainly one to keep an eye on over the coming days and weeks.
