Alan Stubbs slams Farhad Moshiri as he calls for change at Everton

Alan Stubbs has slammed Farhad Moshiri despite Everton managing to avoid relegation after they beat Bournemouth 1-0.

The Toffees midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure scored a screamer in the second half and Dyche’s side managed to hold on to their lead.

The former Everton defender expects a change behind the scenes in 24 hours and wants resignations at the boardroom level.

He told talkSPORT, “You can’t celebrate staying up, for a club like Everton. There have to be changes. The owner, Mr Moshiri, I’ll be flabbergasted if not today or in the next 24 hours there’s a statement coming from Everton about resignations because this board has to be dismantled. This club is too big and too great to be dragged through the gutter.

“This season, for some of the stuff that’s come out Everton, it’s been a PR disaster. Fans being wrongly accused of things, you couldn’t write it, really. There have to be fundamental changes behind the seasons.”

Spot on

Fans cannot continue to accept mediocrity like this as the board doesn’t seem to care about results as long as they’re getting paid.

The incentive for them isn’t to take the club to the next level but instead do whatever makes them the most money.

Moshiri may brag about spending loads of money but he’s hired the wrong people, wasted the potential at the club and is unwilling to take the blame for it.

This is shocking behaviour and something that no club’s owner must engage in so the fans need to get louder and demand change.

Everton have been lucky two years in a row but there are no guarantees that they will next season if things continue like this.

Tim Sherwood has echoed Stubbs’ views about this being a celebration as it certainly isn’t and is more a sign of worry.
