Coventry City manager responds to questions on future of Everton-linked striker Viktor Gyokeres
Coventry City manager Mark Robins has refused to address speculation surrounding Viktor Gyokeres amid links to Everton.
I News reported on 29 May that Gyokeres has long-term admirers at Goodison Park and the Liverpool Echo have shared Robins’ recent quotes.
The Swedish striker ended up on the losing side of the play-off final with Luton Town making it to the Premier League.

When asked about his future, Robins said, “I don’t think that’s really a question for now. I think we’ve got to sit and think about this and let it sink in and reflect on it. But again, you use this as fuel to come back stronger, I think.”
Snap him up
The chances of Everton signing him have drastically increased as he’s not going to be playing in the Premier League for Coventry next season.
Had they gotten promoted, there would be that desire to stay on for another season and play their first year back in the top flight.
However, he now knows that the chance may not come again and he may be willing to jump ship and move to a club like Everton.

It’s understood that Leeds United are also in the race to secure his services and were the frontrunners to sign him in April.
However, since then, they have gotten relegated from the Premier League and no longer will be the favourites.
This is the perfect time for Everton to step in and take advantage of the situation to finally bring in a striker for Sean Dyche.
