Everton ace James Tarkowski surely among best signings of season after stunning Premier League achievement
Everton may have pulled off another miraculous Premier League escape, but there is little time to breathe, with plenty of work to do behind the scenes at the Merseyside outfit this summer.
The Toffees players will be delighted to have stayed in the division, but that delight will be overshadowed by relief, with the club coming dangerously close to being relegated from the Premier League for the first time ever.
Sean Dyche can definitely take plenty of credit for helping steer the club to safety, but another man at Goodison Park that also deserves huge credit is James Tarkowski.

Following yet another 90 minutes in the 1-0 win against Bournemouth on Sunday (28 May), the Everton defender achieved the remarkable feat of playing in every possible minute in the Premier League this season.
Making the feat more impressive is that he is only joined by three other players, all of whom are goalkeepers (David de Gea, Aaron Ramsdale and David Raya), as per the official Premier League website.
The quartet can all put their feet up and relax after a gruelling campaign, with Tarkowski’s mammoth efforts at the back epitomised by the fact he made a league-high 78 blocks, according to the official Premier League website.

Tarkowski also made 196 clearances, second only to Ethan Pinnock’s 214, as per the official Premier League website.
The defensive ace even played a huge role at the other end of the pitch, with Tarkowski scoring his only goal of the season in the crucial 1-0 win over Arsenal in February.
Tarkowski joined the Toffees from Burnley last summer, with his free transfer surely representing one of the best signings of the season.
