Everton player Isaac Price appears to drop social media hint over summer transfer

Everton midfielder Isaac Price’s social media activity suggests that he’s on his way to sealing his permanent Goodison Park exit.

We reported exclusively in April that the 19-year-old will not be signing a new deal at the club and that he was moving to Standard Liege with an announcement being very close.

He has now followed the Belgian club on Instagram, further fuelling speculation of him moving there this summer.

Price was one of the highly-rated prospects at Everton and even got his chance in the first team when Frank Lampard handed him his debut.

However, he has since failed to break into the senior squad and cement his spot as a regular even on the matchday squad.

He has featured for the Under-21s this season and perhaps feels that the time has arrived for him to be a first-team player.

That’s certainly not going to happen at Everton, given the number of midfielders they’ve got among their ranks and it’s best if he leaves this summer.

The Toffees must use this as an opportunity to bring in more youngsters to the club and train them as they’ve got a decent academy at the club.

Sean Dyche hasn’t particularly been known to promote too many youngsters but if he does find someone impressive in the youth setup, he certainly would not mind giving them a go in pre season.

It remains to be seen if Price does end up moving to Liege or if the move falls through at the last minute, but all signs point towards it going through.
