Sky Sports pundit shares Dele Alli prediction after Everton ace ‘certainly lost his way’
Tim Sherwood believes Dele Alli has “lost his way” at Everton but could still get back on track in his career.
Alli spent the season on loan at Besiktas but has since returned to Goodison after a frustrating time in Turkey which ended in a serious injury.
The England international only played twice for the Toffees this season before making 15 appearances in Turkey, where he scored three goals.

“I think Dele could come around, I don’t think he’s done,” Sherwood said on the Up Front With Simon Jordan podcast. “He’s still young enough, but he needs someone to talk to and someone needs to talk some sense into him.
“He hasn’t turned into a bad player overnight, but he’s certainly lost his way, you can’t dress it up any other way.”

Hope for Alli
There may not be very much, but there is at least some hope regarding Alli’s future on the football pitch.
Whether or not it comes at Everton is a side issue, with many within the game simply desperate for the midfielder to get back to his former self.
He was one of the most exciting players in the Premier League and in the England national team not so long ago, but a long list of bad decisions means he is currently stuck in a rut.
Toffees boss Sean Dyche could play a key role in helping revive Alli’s career behind the scenes this summer, but the manager definitely won’t be to blame if that situation does not arise.
A few months away from the pitch really could go either way for Alli, with many Toffees supporters hoping that he can have a positive impact on their club for many seasons to come.
