Bill Kenwright and Denise Barrett-Baxendale ‘almost certain’ to leave Everton amid MSP Sport Capital takeover
Bill Kenwright and Denise Barrett-Baxendale are “almost certain” to leave Everton once a deal with MSP Sports Capital is completed, according to The Athletic.
The Toffees are in exclusive talks with the investment company about bringing in much-needed cash to help fund the new stadium, with an equity stake expected to be taken that will see Farhad Moshiri relinquish some control of the club.
But with MSP Sports Capital expected to take two seats on the board as part of the deal, fans are likely to get their wish with both Kenwright and Barrett-Baxendale expected to leave the club.

“Everton fans have been calling for changes there for months, with particular anger focused on long-standing chairman Bill Kenwright and club chief executive Denise Barrett-Baxendale.
“Their departures seem almost certain but it is not clear who MSP would appoint as its representatives.”
Get out
Much needed change seems to finally be upon us, and it couldn’t have come at a better time.
Everton are absolutely desperate for a cash injection to get the new stadium completed in time as expected for late 2024, but also because we need to improve on the pitch to ensure our Premier League status is maintained.
The last two seasons we’ve managed to have just enough to survive late on, but that simply cannot be the task anymore and we have to push on which means more money is needed.

But we also need people on the board who care about the club and not just their own pockets, so getting these two out of the door means Moshiri loses more than just whatever stake he gives up.
Fans are being heard and changes are happening, so we need to stick together and keep pushing for it to go all the way and we get our club back.
