Everton news: Richard Keys fumes at legal development after what Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti did
Richard Keys has been left fuming at Everton and oligarch Alisher Usmanov as Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti took his former side to court.
It’s understood that the Italian has sued the Goodison Park outfit in London High Court on the grounds of “general commercial contracts and arrangements”. [Guardian – 12 June]
Thus far, details are to still be provided on Ancelotti’s decision to do that as he’s decided to take action against the club he left amicably to join Real Madrid.

Keys wrote on Twitter, “At some point we’ll find out exactly who owns what at Everton. And what investment? Where is it? They may have stayed up but Everton will struggle again unless the mess behind the scenes is fixed Mr Usmanov.”
Change needed
It’s weird to see him calling out Usmanov when the buck stops with Farhad Moshiri and he’s the main man responsible for this mess.
Usmanov and the Toffees have parted ways after the Russia-Ukraine war and he’s no longer understood to be in the picture.
It’s surprising to see a manager going after his former club in this manner, especially when it was not even a sacking.

The club played ball and allowed him to leave without any disputes and got their compensation from Los Blancos and that was the end of the story.
This is just another blow in what is a series of bad moves by the club and one must wonder when things will be right again at Everton.
By now, the fans seem so used to being let down by their club as no change appears to be in sight for them in the near future.
