Everton transfer news: Sean Dyche ready to axe striker Neal Maupay after Fabrizio Romano update emerges
Sean Dyche appears ready to part ways with Neal Maupay in the summer despite him only joining Everton less than a year ago.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Toffees are keeping tabs on Moussa Dembele who’s now a free agent after he left Lyon.
A number of clubs have approached him and Everton are informed of his situation so a new striker signing could be on the cards.

Romano wrote on Twitter, “Moussa Dembélé has been approached by several clubs after leaving OL as free agent.
Understand Everton and Galatasaray are both informed on conditions of the deal, while Saudi clubs are also keeping tabs on Moussa situation.”
This should signal the end of the road for Maupay after his disastrous time in the Premier League for the Toffees.
Even if Dembele does not sign, some or the other striker is likely to walk through the door and it’s pretty evident that Dyche does not trust the former Brighton ace.

The fact that Ellis Simms and Demarai Gray have also started ahead of him only suggests that he’s probably the fourth choice striker at the club.
With Dembele or anyone else’s arrival, he will be booted to fifth and that will be another reason why an exit could be on the cards for him.
Clinton Morrison labelled him “Magnificent” for his performance back in 2020 but he’s no longer replicating those displays and it may be time to part ways.
