Bargain opportunity on cards for Everton in Antonio Sanabria as transfer news emerges

With Everton currently suffering from financial difficulty, a perfect bargain opportunity in the transfer market has emerged in the form of Torino striker Antonio Sanabria.

According to Italian outlet Torino Granata, the Paraguayan forward is available for a transfer this summer with Everton interested in his services.

The Italian outlet reported on 15 June that Sanabria could be available for just over £17million, a potential £4m discount considering the club values him at £21million.

The 27-year-old’s transfer availability is not due to a performance-related issue, in fact, the striker just had his best goalscoring season for the club to date, however the need for finances at the club means they are willing to accept offers and there is an opportunity for Everton to swoop in for even less with Torino’s desperation to sell.

According to iNews [7 June] Everton are in the hunt for “at least” two new strikers in the summer transfer window, as Dyche looks to strengthen his attacking options ahead of the new campaign, and given the Toffees’ struggles for goals last season, the former Burnley boss will be desperately on the prowl for bargain opportunities in the transfer market.

The Toffees boss seemed to work his magic on the Premier League final day, managing to keep his side in the English top flight despite having to deal with a number of key injuries over the course of his tenure, and fans will almost certainly be wishing what could be if Dyche had a reliable goalscorer in his weaponry.

And Sanabria represents the perfect option, with Dyche possibly no longer relying on the injury-prone Dominic Calvert-Lewin, according to the Guardian [17 June].

Having emerged through the infamous La Masia academy of Barcelona, the clinical attacker has enjoyed a fine season in front of goal – his best scoring campaign in fact – notching 12 times and assisting a further three in the Serie A.

As a pure number nine boasting quick feet and enough speed to stretch defences, Sanabria offers a fine alternative to Calvert-Lewin that could spur him on to revolutionise his game under Dyche’s management.

Strong, quick, a potent fox-in-the-box type striker, Sanabria certainly looks ready for the next step in his career at 27 years of age.

And given the potential windfall Everton are about to receive selling the likes of Amadou Onana for £55m, an opportunity has certainly presented itself to address a desperate need in attack.
