Everton transfer news: Jordan Pickford could still leave amid big offer claim
Jordan Pickford is reportedly not guaranteed to stay at Everton despite them avoiding relegation to the Championship.
According to Give Me Sport journalist Phil Brown, he’s among two or three players that the club can sell for a significant amount of money.
He claims that if a huge bid arrives at the table, the Toffees will not be stopping him from leaving this summer.

He said on 16 June, “Pickford is again one of only sort of two or three players that Everton can sell really for a decent fee. So if a club was to come in with a big offer for him, it would be hard for Everton to turn it down.”
Astronomical bid needed
Everton would require something close to their transfer record if they are to consider the sale of Pickford this summer.
He only recently signed a new contract at Goodison Park and after avoiding relegation, it makes very little sense for him to want a move away.
However, if it’s one of the biggest teams in the world and they’re willing to offer him astronomical wages, then he might consider it.

That would also mean they will be able to pay unreal money to Everton to buy him as well and that’s something the hierarchy cannot say no to.
Given the club’s financial plight, a huge amount of money is not something they can say no to and it will also help them reinvest it in the market.
