Sean Dyche told to ‘raise cash’ as Everton ‘biggest wage bill’ claim made at Goodison Par
Everton have the biggest wage bill outside the Premier League’s top six clubs, according to the Daily Star.
The publication noted that Toffees manager Sean Dyche needs to “raise cash” in order to help improve this situation.
And that looks certain to involve the sale of a handful of senior players at Goodison Park in the summer transfer window.

“The fact that Everton survived the drop last season has failed to improve their financial plight – and Goodison boss Sean Dyche knows he must raise cash to help balance the books,” according to the Daily Star.
“The club have the biggest wage bill outside the top six despite battling against relegation for the last two seasons.”

Desperate times
Everton haven’t had it easy both on and off the pitch in recent years, and their struggles look set to continue over the coming months.
Behind the scenes, boardroom trouble has resulted in countless protests from Toffees fans, who simply want their club to be run properly.
And on the pitch, the Merseyside outfit have now been heavily involved in back-to-back relegation battles, just about managing to stay in the Premier League on both occasions.
Things really need to improve sooner rather than later, with Everton fans glad to see changes taking place in the boardroom ahead of the new campaign.
But they won’t want to see major changes to their current squad when it comes to outgoings, although that looks certain to be the case as Dyche looks to bring in some much-needed cash to help bring about a balance at Goodison Park.
That could mean losing the likes of star players Jordan Pickford and Amadou Onana, who are definitely capable of going for huge fees this summer.
