Everton transfer news as striker Boulaye Dia set for move with Fiorentina also in fray

Everton and West Ham will reportedly have their work cut out to sign Boulaye Dia with Fiorentina appearing to offer a player in exchange.

According to Corriere Dello Sport [21 June, Page 20], Fiorentina are willing to offer Arthur Cabral in exchange to halve Dia’s asking rate with negotiations ongoing.

It’s understood that the 26-year-old has a £21million release clause at Villarreal which expires on 15 June with the striker set for a summer exit.

Good option

The Senegal international featured for his country at the World Cup and managed to put in some impressive performances.

He also won the Player of the Match award in the 3-1 win over Qatar and managed to get his name on the global stage.

Even domestically, on loan at Salernitana, he impressed a great deal – scoring 16 league goals and providing another six assists.

Everton

The 26-year-old looks set to take the step up in his career and a move to Everton could be the ideal move for him.

Sean Dyche will build his side around getting the best out of his striker and he could bring in creative players to complement the Senegalese attacker.

The Toffees were persistent in their pursuit of the 26-year-old in January as well so it’s evident that the club hierarchy rates him highly.
