Everton transfer update emerges as Leeds United attacker Crysencio Summerville may be in demand
Everton are reportedly interested in signing Crysencio Summerville – the Leeds United attacker who made headlines against Liverpool at Anfield.
According to Mike McGrath of the Telegraph, interest in the Dutchman is expected to increase as he’s likely to be among the top performers at the Under-21 Euros this summer.
The 21-year-old has been a bit-part player at Leeds but his highlight of the 2022/23 season was undoubtedly scoring the winner against the Reds at Anfield in October.
Via Twitter, McGrath wrote, “LUFC forward Crysencio Summerville has interest (Feyenoord, Everton) + others expected to join race as he is at the U21 Euros where he can showcase.”
Worth considering
Summerville will already be a favourite at Goodison Park for managing to make a side that eventually got relegated beat Liverpool.
However, even as a player, he’s a solid option who can play on either flank and is still young so will only get better.
The Telegraph, 20 June, claim that it will take a fee worth £12million to prise him away from Elland Road – which is fair for someone proven in the Premier League.

However, Everton will need to act quickly as clubs tend to sign players based on performances in international tournaments.
His price will go up and then Leeds will feel free to demand whatever they want in order to allow him to leave in the summer.
After their relegation, it will be easier to sign him, but the selling club also needs to play ball and not be notorious in transfer dealings.
