Jarrad Branthwaite exit verdict at Everton shared amid West Ham United transfer development
Jarrad Branthwaite is unlikely to leave Everton in the current summer transfer window, according to journalist Paul Brown.
The defender has returned to Goodison Park after spending last season on loan at Dutch outfit PSV.
Everton’s Premier League rivals West Ham have, however, launched an enquiry for the 20-year-old [Football Insider, 17 June].

“David Moyes is very good at spotting and working with a centre-back,” Brown told GIVEMESPORT. “If he likes Jarrad Branthwaite, I think that’s a good sign for Branthwaite. “It wouldn’t make a lot of sense really for Everton to let him go in the situation that they’re in.
“I think it would be difficult to let too many players in the squad go that they might need to use next season because it’s going to be a difficult window for them with very little money to replace. I don’t think Branthwaite is someone who is likely to leave the club personally.”

Must keep
As far as loan spells go, Branthwaite had a very good time at PSV, with the young defender making 36 appearances in all competitions for the Dutch side last season.
His defensive abilities were made clear, but the youngster even showed his attacking prowess by chipping in with four goals and two assists.
It is, however, the former area in which Everton manager Sean Dyche will be relying on if he does choose to give Branthwaite a central role next season.
The Toffees could do a lot worse than the young centre-back, who gained valuable experience in the Eredivisie and Europa League during his temporary spell at PSV.
The West Ham interest could tempt the Toffees as they look to raise funds this summer, but their need for centre-backs should come out on top in this discussion, with both Yerry Mina and Conor Coady having left Goodison Park at the end of the season.
