Everton may not want Dele Alli to play for the club ever again – Injury Expert

We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Everton...

Everton appear to be in a situation where they would not want former Tottenham Hotspur ace Dele Alli playing for the club again, believes Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert watched how events unfolded in the 2022/23 campaign when he flopped on loan at Besiktas and the Turkish club did want him any longer.

He was then spotted with laughing gas canisters surrounding him while he was nursing an injury that ruled him out for the rest of the season.

Speaking exclusively with Goodison News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said,

Just generally been a mess, obviously Alli has underperformed since the very promising start to his career and the relationship between him and Besiktas certainly wasn’t great, highlighted by their manager saying Alli had gone missing when in fact he had a team-sanctioned medical trip to deal with a muscular injury.

“Not sure Everton want him back either at this point. This sounds like a situation where the onus will be on the player to prove he has the necessary habits and discipline to regain the form from earlier in his career.

Besiktas had an option to buy Alli permanently but did not exercise it so he remains an Everton player for the time being.

His deal at Goodison Park runs out in the summer of 2024 so this is the final off-season window they have to cash in on his services.

Spurs will be paying close attention on any developments as they are entitled to a certain amount once Alli triggers it by virtue of the games he plays for Everton.

It remains to be seen if Sean Dyche decides to stick or twist with Dele Alli this summer.

In Everton news, Alan Myers has shared a major update on Sean Dyche’s future after a development over his sacking has emerged over the past few days.
