Everton transfer news: Update emerges on Amadou Onana future amid West Ham United, Chelsea and Arsenal links
West Ham reportedly have Everton midfielder and Arsenal and Chelsea target Amadou Onana on their shortlist this summer post the sale of Declan Rice to Arsenal.
According to 90Min [30 June], they see the Belgian as an “attainable” option as he appears set to leave Goodison Park this summer.
The 21-year-old moved to Everton only last summer for a fee in the region of £33.5million, per Sky Sports.
Worth it?
Onana has been linked with teams like Arsenal and Chelsea and a move to West Ham may not be really an upgrade from Everton.
Had it not been for a Conference League triumph, they just finished a few places above the Toffees and are losing their best player.
Het Nieuwsblad – April 2023 claimed that the two London giants were keen and the midfielder wants out of the club this summer.
They will offer bigger wages and the chance to challenge for trophies too – something unlikely to happen at West Ham.
It may not even be worth his while to leave Everton if he’s moving to the London Stadium and he’d be better off at Goodison Park.
