Everton advance in pursuit of Almeria forward El Bilal Toure as transfer news drops
Everton are advancing in their pursuit of Almeria forward El Bilal Toure as they search for two new forwards this summer, according to journalist Ignazio Genuardi.
The Toffees have been linked with a move for the Mali international after a solid campaign for Almeria in the 2022/23 season, scoring seven goals and registering two assists, attracting plenty of interest from several other clubs.
Reliable Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri reported on Monday [3 July], that the Toffees have tabled a mega-money £34.3m bid to the La Liga side in order to secure his services.
And according to Genuardi, taking to his personal Twitter account [4 July], wrote: “In search of two new attackers, Everton advances on the record of the former Rémois EB Toure who remains on a promising season with Almeria (7 goals in La Liga).
“Two files are also activated in the Championship, in particular.”

Everton’s desperate need for attacking reinforcements were made evidently clear by their dreadful goalscoring record last season, hitting just 34 goals in 38 games – the second-worst record in the division.
And it’s certainly no wonder why Sean Dyche is hell-bent on adding two new strikers to his ranks in order to fill the frustrating void of Dominic Calvert-Lewin who regularly takes trips to the Goodison Park treatment table and Neal Maupay’s failure in his first season.

Almeria star Toure certainly represents an upgrade on Maupay, scoring seven times in only 15 La Liga starts last term, as well as being a 13-cap Mali international, and this new update suggests Everton are eyeing up an exciting piece of business this summer.
Known for his terrifying and electric pace, and his knack for the spectacular in an Almeria shirt on last season’s evidence, it’s no wonder why the La Liga club have slapped a £30m-plus price tag on his back.
It’s been reported that the Toffees want to spread payment for Toure over three or four instalments due to their FFP restrictions, and in order to secure one of Europe’s hot young striker properties, that may have to be the ideal solution.
In other Everton news, two bids have already been received as clubs queue up to sign a first-team Toffees ace.
