Everton transfer news as Alfredo Morelos would be perfect for Sean Dyche
Everton could find the answer to their offensive difficulties in former Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos, whose combative playstyle would suit Sean Dyche perfectly, according to Balonlatino.
The report suggests that as a result of Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s injury issues, and Neal Maupay’s performances not being up to standard, the Merseyside club could look to target Morelos, who is available on a free transfer following the expiry of his Rangers deal.
Morelos scored 124 goals in 269 games for Rangers, as one of the top forwards in Scotland for a number of years, while his combative and high-intensity style of play could perfectly suit what Dyche wants from his strikers.

Morelos could represent a different option
Morelos presents a different type of striker to Everton’s reported targets so far this summer.
Coventry striker Viktor Gyokeres, who now looks set for a move to Sporting CP [Fabrizio Romano, 6 July], is a more mobile forward, as is Sheffield United dazzler Iliman Ndiaye.
The former Rangers man is a more combative striker, able to hold the ball up and bring his teammates into play while also having a good eye for goal – similar to El Bilal Toure, who Everton have reportedly tabled a bid for [Ignazio Genuardi, 3 July].

With the Colombian forward available on a free transfer, he could be a good option for Everton to explore given their financial issues in recent years and the price tags associated with other targets.
Morelos’ goalscoring numbers certainly look good on paper, but strikers from the SPFL have been seen to struggle to adapt to the Premier League, as seen with Crystal Palace striker Odsonne Edouard, who has scored just 11 Premier League goals since joining from Celtic two years ago.
In other Everton news, there are ‘crucial days ahead’ for another Everton transfer target.
