Injury Expert delivers verdict as Everton midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin set for transfer

We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Everton...

Everton must look to complete a permanent sale and not loan out Jean-Philippe Gbamin this summer, claims Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert has reacted to his wretched fitness record since he sealed a permanent move to Goodison Park in 2019.

The deal cost the Toffees £25million and he’s not proven to be worth the outlay – making less than 10 appearances in all competitions.

His agent went on the record on 18 May and stated that the 27-year-old will be on his way out and will not feature for the club again.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Goodison News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said,

Considering the history and what Sean Dyche is looking for, I’d be surprised if they don’t sell at this point.

It’s no guarantee he’s healthy next season, even on a loan and that will be a major risk given his contract situation.

This is the final summer where the Toffees can get anything from his sale as his deal runs out at the end of next season.

If he’s loaned out, given his agent’s comments, it seems highly unlikely that he will sign an extension even if he’s given a pay hike.

Sean Dyche has yet to speak about his future but it will be surprising if he’s an Everton player beyond the end of August.

In Everton news, Alan Myers has shared a major update on Sean Dyche’s future after a development over his sacking has emerged recently.
