Ashley Young to sign contract today as Everton transfer news drops
Ashley Young will sign his contract to become an Everton player on Tuesday 11 July ahead of his move to Goodison Park, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The transfer guru has shared that the versatile defender will complete his medical with the Toffees later today too with the famous “here we go” confirmed.
Sean Dyche looks to have little budget this summer, and looks set to complete his first move from the free agent market after Young left Aston Villa.
Writing on his personal Twitter account, Romano said: “Ashley Young medical will take place later today, he will sign the contract right after as new Everton player on a free transfer.
“Here we go, confirmed.”

Clever.
Dyche is having to box clever with his budget alongside Kevin Thelwell, with players likely needing to be sold before he can make big money moves.
It appears as though a move for Wilfried Gnonto at Leeds is said to have been agreed, although for the £18million-plus fee being branded around, that may be unlikely at this stage [SportItalia].
Young arrives on a free and having lost the experience of Conor Coady and Yerry Mina in defence, this could be a very smart move for everyone involved.
The defender played very well in the Premier League last season, helping Unai Emery to secure European football, even keeping Matty Cash out of the team at times.
With the medical and contract signing taking place today, it is likely that it will also be announced to kickstart our summer of some smart signings – fingers crossed.
