Everton handed financial windfall amid £160m FIFA development
Everton have been handed a financial windfall as they were sent $755,580 (£578,000) from FIFA for sending players to the 2022 World Cup.
The governing body stated that a total of 440 clubs were paid a total of $209million (£160million) for sending players to Qatar.
Argentina lifted the famous trophy last December as they defeated fellow footballing superpowers France on penalties.

The Toffees were among the English representatives to receive money, with the Football Association (FA) paid $37.7million (£28.8million) for sending players to the 2022 event.
As per FIFA, Everton have pocketed a much-needed windfall as they were sent £578,000 of that total figure.

Welcome boost
Everton’s worrying financial situation has been made clear for all to see in recent times, with the Toffees really struggling behind the scenes under the ownership of Farhad Moshiri.
And those woes have spread onto the pitch at Goodison Park, with the Merseyside club heavily involved in a Premier League relegation battle for the past two seasons now, only just staying in the top flight on both occasions.
It remains to be seen how the financial windfall from FIFA will be spent, but it would definitely make sense for a large chunk of it to be given to manager Sean Dyche to help him build a better squad for the new season.
The huge figure shows just how valuable it is to have international players at the club, a concept that may be foreign to Everton in the years to come if their domestic struggles continue.
Star duo Jordan Pickford and Amadou Onana were among the Toffees representatives in Qatar, but their futures at Goodison Park remain up in the air.
In other Everton news, one proven Premier League goalscorer on the Toffees transfer shortlist has been told he can leave his current club.
