Alan Myers names most likely next signings at Everton after £15m BBC Sport development
Either Anthony Elanga or Arnaut Danjuma are the players most likely to join Everton next, according to Sky Sports journalist Alan Myers.
Manchester United forward Elanga has been liked with a £15million switch to Goodison Park [BBC Sport] this summer after a loan offer broke down last January, while former Tottenham loanee Danjuma has reportedly met with Sean Dyche over a potential loan move [Fabrizio Romano] this summer.
Everton are yet to make a first-team signing this window and will look to bolster their attack in a bid to improve their near-relegation ending season.
Good move for all
Elanga has had some bright moments at Old Trafford, including a Champions League equaliser against Atletico Madrid in 2022, and a move would see his nine-year relationship with the club end if he moved away.
However, having shown enough promise and talent to deserve Premier League minutes but not having the quality to start regularly for Eric ten Hag, midtable feels like a perfect step for the Swede.
But what is Elanga bringing to a Sean Dyche side? Well, he’s not exactly bringing guaranteed goals, having not scored at all last season and managing three in the previous season.
What Dyche is getting is not just potential, but dynamism in the attacking areas. The 21-year-old averages 6.07 touches per 90 (92nd percentile) in the attacking area, showing that he is a presence for the opposition defence and can make himself an issue for defenders.

He is also taking 2.56 shots per 90 (79th percentile) meaning while he is getting shots away, his finishing may need some fine-tuning before he becomes a prolific asset for Dyche. While he is certainly not the finished article, his development would benefit massively from more top-flight minutes [FBRef].
Danjuma meanwhile may have to wait for forgiveness from Toffees fans after his late rejection of the club in favour of joining Tottenham on loan last January. However, the Villarreal striker would be an excellent addition to their front line and will help boost what ended up being the least prolific attack in the league last season (34 goals).

Either forward would be an interesting choice and exciting prospect for Everton fans, but amid links to Willy Gnonto too [Alan Myers], who knows how the Toffees will line up come mid-August.
In other Everton news, Sean Dyche has four transfer targets he wants to sign in less than a month for his Goodison Park rebuild.
