Arnaut Danjuma rejects AC Milan to join Everton on straight loan deal, medical scheduled
Arnaut Danjuma has rejected an offer from AC Milan and instead chosen to join Everton on a straight loan deal, according to talkSPORT.
Writing on their official Twitter account (20 July), the news outlet report that the Dutch international has turned down an offer from the Champions League semi-finalists to join the Toffees just six months after walking out on a deal to join Tottenham instead.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that the player will undergo a medical in the coming days (20 July), with TalkSPORT’s Alex Crook reporting that it will be a straight loan with no buy option until the end of the season.
“As reported here last week Arnaut Danjuma is joining Everton,” he wrote.
“Also had strong interest from AC Milan but feels he has unfinished business in the Premier League. Will be a straight loan until the end of the season.”
Brilliant
There were plenty of Everton fans who weren’t convinced that this transfer would get over the line after all the drama in January when Tottenham swooped, but it seems done now.
In January Everton’s position in the Premier League was precarious to say the least, and Frank Lampard’s future was likely something that helped to sway his decision.

But Sean Dyche is firmly in the hotseat now and the club have a clean slate in the Premier League for the new season, giving Danjuma the perfect platform to showcase his talents and work to helping Everton.
A minimal fee is the least of the club’s worries and this is a major problem area in the squad being addressed weeks before the season is due to begin.
It’s a huge boost to Dyche and also to the fans who were beginning to worry about the preparation for the new season, with Ashley Young the only other signing so far this summer. Danjuma is on his way, six months late, but better late than never.
