Everton bid accepted to sign Arnaut Danjuma – Fabrizio Romano
Everton have had a bid accepted by Villarreal for the Toffees to sign attacker Arnaud Danjuma this summer according to a recent update from Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.
Romano revealed via his personal Twitter account [20 July] that the deal, which will be a loan move, will happen soon as the player believes a move to Goodison Park will be best for his career which had begun to stall in recent years.
It was shared that, despite the disappointment of his transfer in January, where he made a transfer u-turn on deadline day in January to sign for Tottenham, Everton remained in contact with the player and his club, which was a key part in allowing this deal to go through amid reported interest from AC Milan.
No hard feelings
The club clearly do not harbour any hard feelings towards Danjuma after the saga of his transfer in January, and neither should the fans – especially if he can provide attacking output for them.
The last full season Danjuma spent with a club was in 2021/22 with Villarreal, where the forward scored 16 goals in 34 appearances across all competitions. If he can hit those types of numbers with Everton, he would be worth every penny they spend to bring him in.

Danjuma’s versatility could also be key for Everton in the Premier League, with the club in need of wingers as well as a striker, and the Dutch forward is able to play in either of those positions.
If he can perform the way everybody knows he can, he will be a fan favourite at Goodison Park in no time, with any ill feeling cast aside. If he does struggle, however, questions will have to be asked.
To bring him in on loan despite interest from AC Milan will be a coup for the Toffees, beating Champions League semi-finalists to the signing of a key target.
In other Everton news, movement is expected to happen before the weekend according to journalist.
