Everton in contact with Ajax to broker summer deal for Brian Brobbey – Sky Sports
Everton have registered interest in Ajax striker Brian Brobbey, but are yet to submit a former offer for the 21-year-old, according to Sky Sports.
The broadcaster reported via their Transfer Centre on Wednesday (19 July, 10:57pm) that Sean Dyche’s side has been in contact with Ajax about the possibility of sealing Brobbey’s signature, who has interest last summer from the likes of Manchester United but opted to rejoin Ajaz from RB Leipzig.
The Toffees have been in search of attacking talent this window including Willy Gnonto [Daily Mail] and Victor Boniface [Sacha Tavolieri], with Brobbey the latest linked with a move to Goodison Park

If Everton can land Brobbey, he should be their top target.
With the likes of Manchester United being interested in the 21-year-old in the past, the Dutchman come with a genuine pedigree and world-class potential.
His stats too show that he could provide the goals that were missing at Goodison Park last season. With 0.71 non-penalty goals per 90 (97th percentile) and 9.82 touches in the attacking penalty area (99th percentile) [FBRef], he clearly poses a threat to opposition defences.
However, a player of this quality and age may be unlikely to move to Everton as he could attract attention from European-level teams, so the club must act quickly if they are to secure the 13-goal striker.
Everton had a real goalscoring issue last season, with only 34 goals scored in the league, so securing a proven goalscorer is essential for Sean Dyche as they hope to have a season much further away from the relegation zone.
He could take Everton to the next level, but Toffees fans must be cautious as imports from the Eredivisie can sometimes take a while to settle into Premier League football, which is perhaps why they have been targeting hr likes of Premier League-proven talent like Gnonto.
