Medical due for Everton to sign Arnaut Danjuma as multi-million fee agreed – Alan Myers

Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma is expected to complete his Everton medical before Saturday (22 July), according to journalist Alan Myers.

The Sky Sports journalist reported via his personal Twitter account on Thursday (20 July) that Danjuma has agreed a £3.5million loan deal with the Toffees.

Myers added that the Merseyside club are hopeful of bringing in another player alongside the 26-year-old before the weekend.

“Danjuma to have medical, loan deal agreed (£3.5m) and expected to be done by Saturday, as previously stated, club hopeful of another in before the weekend,” Myers posted on Twitter.

Good news

Any signing news is good news as far as Everton supporters are concerned, with much of the transfer talk at Goodison Park this summer involving players potentially leaving the club.

For now, however, the likes of star men Jordan Pickford and Amadou Onana are remaining on Merseyside, and they look set to be joined by former Tottenham man Danjuma.

The Netherlands international spent the second half of last season on loan at the North London club, having come close to making a switch to Goodison Park.

It didn’t work out for Everton back then, but they have now finally got their man, who they hope will play a key role in a successful Premier League campaign next time out.

He didn’t exactly have many opportunities to impress while at Tottenham, but Everton boss Sean Dyche is clearly a fan of the winger, with such attacking talent desperately needed at Goodison Park if the Toffees are to have any hope of avoiding a third successive Premier League relegation battle.

In other Everton news, the Toffees are edging closer to a new signing as one player snubs an Italian transfer.
