Alex Iwobi can thrive with Everton role change amid impending Arnaut Danjuma arrival
After weeks of a lack of activity in the summer transfer window, it seems that Everton are finally making moves to improve their squad.
As per Sky Sports (20 July), the Toffees are expected to bring in Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma on loan, with the player’s medical scheduled for Saturday (22 July).
He will bring some much-needed attacking flair to Goodison Park, with the forward arriving after bagging eight goals in all competitions last season for both the La Liga club and temporary side Tottenham Hotspur.

It remains unclear what exactly Sean Dyche has planned for the versatile attacker, but it could be a case of Danjuma returning to a spot on the wing, having largely been utilised in centre forward last time out.
That, in turn, could be a blessing for Alex Iwobi, another versatile player at Dyche’s disposal, and one that could really thrive in a more central role.
The Nigeria international has proven his ability time and again for the Toffees, as well as proving his willingness to play anywhere with spells across both sides of midfield, in the centre and in attacking midfield, as well as on both wings.

Danjuma’s impending arrival could see the former Arsenal brought back into an attacking midfield role, which would definitely be welcomed by supporters and perhaps the player himself, with Iwobi picking up five of his nine assists last season in that role, as well as one of his two goals [Transfermarkt].
And even if he was pushed slightly further back into central midfield, it could still spell danger for opposing teams, with Iwobi adding two assists from that role last time out.
