
£150million verdict shared at Everton as FIFA windfall emerges – Finance Expert

Dan Plumley has insisted that “every little helps” at Everton right now after a FIFA windfall was confirmed at Goodison Park.
It was shared that the Toffees picked up £578,000 from the £160million on offer from FIFA for clubs sending their players to the latest World Cup.
Despite not much, the finance expert admitted the payback is nice despite it being nothing compared to the £150million-plus revenue on offer every year in the Premier League.

“Again, it is one of those things that are a nice bonus,” he exclusively told Goodison News.
“It’s not something that you plan for necessarily, it’s not a lot in the grand scheme of Everton’s revenue which in the Premier League is tracking north of £150million.
“It’s not a big contribution that will shift the dial too much, but it is nice to have. If you’re going to have to send your players off to international competitions, then it is nice to get a little payback.
“That every little helps mentality is certainly in play at Everton at the minute.”

Farhad Moshiri did nothing to bring this windfall to the club, but at this moment in time, he will certainly welcome it with open arms given the bleak financial records.
As Plumley said, every little helps, but hopefully that mentality will not be forced on the club for much longer.
