Idrissa Gueye sends six-word message to Arnaut Danjuma after confirmed Everton transfer
Everton midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye sent a six-word message to Arnaut Danjuma following his confirmed Goodison Park transfer.
The Toffees confirmed the signing (Official website, 23 July) of the Dutch international forward on a season-long loan from La Liga giants Villarreal.
Danjuma becomes Dyche’s second signing as Everton manager, after the addition of full-back Ashley Young, as the Blues look to bolster their options ahead of the new campaign.

And the 26-year-old took to Instagram to share himself in the new Everton jersey, saying: “Second time lucky” to which Gueye responded with a six-word welcome.
He said: “Welcome to the blue family brother.”
Marquee acquisition
Danjuma’s dramatic U-turn at the 11th hour in the winter was the icing on the cake of a miserable and disastrous transfer window that saw not one new addition arrive to help Sean Dyche in his attempt to rescue Lampard’s crumbling season.
Now, Everton have secured their man and their second transfer of the summer after completing a deal for Ashley Young on a free and the Dutchman certainly should be considered a marquee acquisition at Goodison Park.

Dyche has certainly struggled on the attacking front for much of his tenure at the club, having to rely on the likes of Alex Iwobi and Dwight McNeil as his reliable wide options, with Demarai Gray barely given a sniff.
It was absolutely imperative Everton bolstered their ranks heading into the new season and Danjuma’s signing is a superb one and arguably the best the club could complete in a long while.
The former Bournemouth man notably bagged six goals in 17 games in all competitions before the January debacle, after previously enjoying a standout campaign under current Aston Villa boss Unai Emery the season before last, providing 20 goal involvements in just 34 games for the La Liga side.
A player who can clearly flourish at the elite level – having scored six goals during the Spanish outfit’s surge to the Champions League last four – Danjuma has previously showcased a consistency that none of Dyche’s current attacking options have managed to match.
If Everton can get him to match the heights of that lofty campaign then Dyche has a serious attacking weapon on his hands, finally. It’s now wonder Gueye is excited at this signing.
