Richarlison sends two-word Instagram message to Arnaut Danjuma as he pens Everton deal

Former Everton favourite Richarlison has sent a two-word message to new signing Arnaut Danjuma after he completed his move to Goodison Park.

The Dutch international signed for the Toffees from Villarreal on a season-long loan deal on 23 July after controversially snubbing the club for Tottenham in January.

The 26-year-old posted an image of himself holding up an Everton shirt with his name on the back and his former Spurs teammate Richarlison responded to the post by saying “Good luck”.

From old to new

It’s nice to see Richarlison wish Danjuma luck at Everton after the Brazilian spent four good years at the club and will no doubt hold it in high regard.

Although the pair only played with each other for six months at Spurs, his comment shows they must’ve got on despite playing in similar positions and competing for a place in the side.

The new Toffees signing looks delighted to be at the club after signing on loan for the season and he will be eager to impress to make up for his antics in January when he left the Merseysiders high and dry.

The fans would quickly grow to love him if he shows half as much enthusiasm and desire to do well for the club as Richarlison did during his time at Goodison Park.

Everyone associated with Everton will now be looking forward to seeing him play in the famous Blues shirt, so he can show what he can do with the new season just around the corner.
