Everton ready bid plus Neal Maupay to seal Boulaye Dia transfer
Everton are readying a bid in the region of £21.5m and Neal Maupay in addition to Serie A side Salernitana in their latest attempt to sign Boulaye Dia, according to La Ciatta.
The Italian website reinforce that the Toffees have long been admirers of the Senegalese forward and are desperate to secure his services for the upcoming season, while the Italian side are fans of Maupay, leading Everton to consider offering the Frenchman on top of a transfer fee.
However, Salernitana are still having to be convinced to let their 26-year-old striker depart this summer having been the team’s top scorer while on loan last season, finding the net 16 times in Serie A.

If an offer is attractive enough to the Italian side, they would be inclined to accept it, instead reinvesting the fee elsewhere in an attempt to strengthen other areas of their team for the forthcoming campaign and that’s where the addition a player to the deal becomes more convincing.
Maupay is under contract at Goodison until 2025 but fell out of favour since the arrival of Dyche and it is likely the Toffees will happily offer his services, to secure Dia’s signature.
Good move for all parties
It’s not very often in football that a transfer occurs, and it seems like an excellent deal for all parties, but this appears to be one of the few occasions where that sentiment rings true, if Salernitana deem the financial side of the transfer to be high enough.
The Senegal forward is a proven international, with a good goalscoring record last season in not only one of Europe’s biggest divisions, but also the most defensively astute on the continent, making him as close to a guaranteed success as possible for the Toffees.

While getting Maupay off the wage bill when he’s barely played since Dyche has arrived on Merseyside is an incredibly helpful addition to the deal, especially as Everton have to carefully navigate financial fair play rules this season.
For the Italian side they get a healthy transfer fee to reinvest this summer and a player who only a year ago the Toffees paid a reported £15m for, with a record good enough that two Premier League sides have taken a punt at him.
If this deal goes through, it could be one of the smartest of the window so far.
In other Everton news, the Toffees have other forwards on their radar as they refuse to give up on Atalanta-bound striker
