Everton midfielder Stanley Mills given transfer green light for loan exit
19-year-old Everton midfielder Stanley Mills is in talks with League One side Oxford United over a loan move, after Everton gave the deal the green light, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The Liverpool Echo shared on 26 July that the Everton youngster, who featured twice for the senior team in the Carabao Cup last season, is in talks with Oxford United as the League One club look to strengthen their side.
Mills, who is the son of former England international Danny Mills, scored 14 goals and grabbed 14 assists in 21 appearances for Everton’s Under-21 side in the PL2 last season, a very impressive return for a midfielder as the team finished the season in eighth.

League One will provide him with good experience
Having spent a large portion of last season with the Everton senior side, both in training and matchday squads under Sean Dyche, Mills will be handed the opportunity to get regular minutes of men’s football, with League One a very good developmental level.
Loan players shone in the English third division last season, with Norwich City loanee Bali Mumba winning the league’s Young Player of the Year award before signing permanently for Plymouth this summer.

Charlton’s Crystal Palace loanee Jesurun Rak-Sakyi was a close contender for the award after notching 23 goal contributions in his first season of senior football and now looks likely to be a member of Palace’s first-team squad for the new Premier League season.
If Mills can live up to the quality that the afore mentioned loan players showed in League One, he will set himself up well to potentially feature for Everton in the Premier League one day, or at least find himself another strong loan move as he continues his development.
In other Everton news, a player decided not to join the club this summer due to style of play admission.
