Everton transfer news as update emerges on pursuit of Ajax striker Brian Brobbey
Ajax striker and Everton target Brian Brobbey does not seem to be actively pushing his way out of the club this summer, per Connor O’Neill.
The Liverpool Echo journalist wrote [27 July] that the 21-year-old Dutch striker is happy to stay put in Amsterdam for next season.
Sean Dyche prioritised signing a striker which explains the interest in Brobbey but a deal for him does not appear to be on the cards.

Move on
Brobbey bagged 13 goals in 32 games last term so it’s evident that he’s someone who’s capable of finding the back of the net on a regular basis.
With the exodus at Ajax in recent years and most of their star players and manager leaving, Everton were not wrong to think they can tempt Brobbey.
They did come very close to signing Mohammed Kudus last summer who’s now linked to Champions League chasing clubs.

However, with Brobbey, there does not seem anything to suggest that he’d be open to leaving this summer, not only for Everton.
He seems settled in Amsterdam and perhaps has gotten the assurances he wants at the club ahead of the new season.
It’s good to see Everton having so many options for a new striker but the chase must continue and hopefully, a resolution is reached in the coming days.
In other Everton news, an exit-linked Toffees player has recently been spotted in talks with a senior Goodison Park figure ahead of the new season.
