Everton transfer update as enquiry made to sign Sheffield United striker Daniel Jebbison
Everton have already made an enquiry into the availability of Sheffield United striker Daniel Jebbison in this window, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The Merseyside-based news outlet reported on 27 July that the Toffees had made their interest known early this summer.
They have been credited as one among a number of clubs keen on signing the Canada-born 20-year-old centre-forward.

Worth considering?
In May 2021, Jebbison broke the Premier League record for being the youngest ever player to score on his full debut.
Ironically, that goal came against Everton, who are now keen on signing them to find the back of the net for their side.
However, last season, even in the Championship, his goal-scoring record was highly unimpressive and there’s no reason the Toffees would want him as an immediate starter.

He bagged just one league goal from 16 appearances which is not good at all given the level of England’s second tier.
Now he’s back in the Premier League as Sheffield United got promoted and they’re unlikely to let him leave on the cheap.
Thus, it makes no sense for the Toffees to continue this pursuit and they need to look at options that’ll prove to be upgrades on Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
In other Everton news, an exit-linked Toffees player has recently been spotted in talks with a senior Goodison Park figure ahead of the new season.
