Bramley-Moore Dock stadium move identified as ‘most pivotal’ opportunity in Everton history
The move from Goodison Park to Bramley-Moore Dock is arguably the “most pivotal” opportunity in the history of Everton, according to Liverpool Echo journalist Dave Powell.
The Toffees are expected to complete their new stadium build in the final months of next year, according to the Liverpool Echo (6 July).
The newspaper added that Everton may still complete next season at Goodison as the new facility will be complete midway through the 2024/25 campaign.

“History is a great teacher, and Everton seeing the needle move in the wrong direction over the last decade during a period when the Premier League has never been more popular offers up the lesson of an opportunity missed,” Powell wrote for the Liverpool Echo.
“Thankfully, with the next decade expected to be even more bountiful for Premier League clubs, with broadcast rights set to rise again for the next cycle as new international markets such as the United States become more engaged with the sport and English football’s top tier, there is the opportunity to make up some significant ground, and the stadium move will be core to that happening.
“But the stadium move must also herald a new beginning for the club that creates resources that are well spent on achieving on-pitch success so that the club can maximise a major opportunity, arguably the most pivotal one in their history.”

Exciting times
There haven’t been many exciting times for Everton fans in recent seasons, with off-field distractions playing a major role in on-field failures.
The Toffees have now been involved in a Premier League relegation battle for the last two campaigns, narrowly avoiding the dreaded feat on both occasions.
A third successive Premier League relegation scrap is well and truly on the cards, unless manager Sean Dyche can work some magic in the summer transfer window and bring in some much-needed talent.
Veteran Ashley Young and attacker Arnaut Danjuma have been brought in, but whether they will be enough to turn the club’s fortunes around remains to be seen.
Fortunately, fans can get excited at the impending switch to their new home at Bramley-Moore Dock, with the venue set to bring Everton up to speed with their Premier League rivals.
It should be a great source of income, with that money then able to be spent on bringing top talent to the Merseyside club.
In other Everton news, the Toffees want £15million for one attacker as a European club make an enquiry for the player.
