Transfer update emerges as Everton, Tottenham and Juventus chase defender Facundo Gonzalez
Juventus are understood to be in advanced talks with Valencia defender Facundo Gonzalez who’s also linked with Everton and Tottenham, per Tutto Juve.
The Italian media outlet claims [29 July] that the 20-year-old Uruguayan centre-back appears set to be moving to the Old Lady this summer.
The Toffees and Spurs were impressed by his performances en route to his country lifting the Under-20 World Cup this year, but will be missing out on his services.

Gonzalez has not yet played a single minute of first-team football so to think that he would be a first-team player at Everton makes no sense.
The squad has more pressing issues to deal with in the playing XI itself and there’s major surgery needed to be done on Sean Dyche’s squad.
For starters, with no striker signed yet, Dyche certainly will be annoyed as the new season is not too far away.
He wanted one in January and the club failed to deliver and it seems like the same thing is happening for the second time in six months.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is unreliable and still working on returning to his match sharpness so it’s unlikely he’ll be ready in time to start the first game of the season.
Arnaut Danjuma can be tried in that number nine position but he’s not really comfortable there and someone like Leeds United’s Willy Gnonto would make more sense.
