Everton set for financial windfall as ‘seven figure’ news emerges

Everton have signed a shirt sleeve sponsorship deal with internet streaming service KICK worth seven figures, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The newspaper reported on its website on Tuesday (1 August) that the deal has been signed for one year and is worth more than the previous deal with BOXT.

The agreement with KICK will see the company logo worn on the shirt of the men’s, women and under-21s teams throughout next season, the Liverpool Echo added.

“While Everton has not released the full details of the agreement, it is understood to currently be a one-year deal worth seven figures, and more than the arrangement with the previous sleeve sponsor BOXT,” according to the Liverpool Echo.

Welcome news

Everton fans haven’t exactly been hit with constant streams of good news in recent times, with background struggles leading to struggles on the pitch.

Somehow, the Toffees have managed to survive the dreaded drop to the Championship for the last two seasons now, but a third successive Premier League relegation could well be on the cards if more new faces are not brought in this summer.

The sponsorship deal with KICK is, however, welcome news, with the Toffees receiving some much-needed funds through the agreement.

Whether or not those funds can be put towards new signings remains to be seen, but that should certainly be the aim of Everton boss Sean Dyche, who has been limited with what he can do in recent weeks.

The lack of funds at the Merseyside club in terms of transfers has been made clear, with Ashley Young arriving on a free and Arnaut Danjuma arriving on loan.

In other Everton news, one Toffees player is “pushing” for an exit as a Premier League rival haggles over his £10million transfer fee.
