Youssef Chermiti to jet in for Everton medical, personal terms sealed for new signing – Fabrizio Romano
Sporting Lisbon striker Youssef Chermiti will jet into England to undergo his Everton medical, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The journalist reported via his personal Twitter account on Tuesday (1 August) that personal terms for the deal are now being sealed.
The 19-year-old striker scored three goals from his 22 appearances in all competitions last season for Portuguese outfit Sporting.
“Agreement on personal terms now being sealed then Youssef Chermiti will be in England for medical tests as an Everton player.” Romano wrote on Twitter. “Exclusive story, confirmed.”

Exciting signing
Chermiti didn’t exactly set the Portuguese top flight alight last season with his goals tally, but at 19, the teenager can only get better.
It remains to be seen exactly what role Everton manager Sean Dyche will have for the youngster, who may not be immediately thrown into the first team given his age.
Despite this potential scenario, it is an exciting signing for the Toffees, although fans of the club may just welcome anyone at this stage of the transfer window.
The Merseyside outfit have already brought in one forward in Arnaut Danjuma, who has joined on loan from Villarreal, but they certainly needed more attackers given last season’s failures in the final third.
Chermiti’s signing will be welcomed with open arms when it is pushed over the line, but it shouldn’t be the end of the incomings if the Toffees are to have any chance of having a successful season.
In other Everton news, one Toffees player is “pushing” for an exit as a Premier League rival haggles over his £10million transfer fee.
