Everton seduce Youssef Chermiti with second offer with transfer now on verge

Everton have seduced Sporting CP striker Youssef Chermiti with a second offer of personal terms ahead of his move to Goodison Park, according to Record.

The Portuguese newspaper has reported in its print edition [02 August, pg 7] that Chermiti refused the first offer on the table, before Everton smoothed things over on the second attempt.

It is said that the young attacker is now expected on Merseyside within the week to complete his medical, with his bags already packed for the move.

They wrote: “Chermiti is a short step away from being Everton’s backup.

“The clubs have already reached an agreement for the transfer and the forward is also now finalising the terms of the contract presented to him, it is understood.

“With his bags packed, and with the expected white smoke in sight, the player must soon say goodbye to his teammates and all the technicians and employees.

“By the way, the footballer will even have refused the first amounts presented to him by the English club, but he was seduced by a second offer.”

Everton

Seduced.

With the risk that was no doubt attached to this move after the first offer, it is good that the Toffees have moved very quickly to make sure nothing is harmed.

Chermiti was clearly not happy with the first offer, and now that Everton have gone back to the table, the move is ready to be completed, it seems.

Sean Dyche has made it no secret that he was crying out for a new striker this summer, especially before the Premier League season kicks off against Fulham in less than two weeks.

What is more promising is that Chermiti may not be the last attacker through the door with more options said to be wanted at Goodison Park in this window.

Now that this has been ironed out, hopefully, the young talisman can get across to Merseyside and finish off all the formalities needed to get this one announced.

Everton are making their moves, finally.

In other Everton news, the Toffees now have to pay £21.4m to land a Brazilian striker to lead their line for next season.
