Everton could get Youssef Chermiti transfer green light today, want medical this weekend
Everton and Youssef Chermiti could find an agreement on personal terms on Thursday (3 August) to accelerate the transfer, according to A Bola.
Writing on their official website (3 August), the Portuguese newspaper report that there is still no agreement on personal terms between the Toffees and 19-year-old striker despite a deal being agreed with Sporting CP.
Everton are hopeful of the player undergoing a medical this weekend (Correio de Manha, 3 August), and A Bola report that there could be news on the deal today (3 August)t hat could accelerate the deal.

“The understanding between Chermiti and Everton does not seem easy, the last piece of the puzzle that will lead the young striker to Everton, after the agreement between clubs is finalized,” they wrote.
“As A BOLA reported on Wednesday, Liverpool club officials and the player’s father and representative, Noureddine Chermiti, were still discussing the financial contours of Chermiti’s contract.
“For the player, the possibility of playing at Everton is very appealing, as he will be able to experience the Premier League, considered the best in the world, at the age of 19.
“This Thursday could bring news about the future of Chermiti, which should even go through the club based in Liverpool.”
Fingers crossed
The longer the deal goes without being completed, the more Toffees fans start getting flashbacks of January and the way the Arnaut Danjuma deal went.
Obviously Danjuma has since joined this summer on a season-long loan, while Ashley Young has joined on a free transfer, but there are still more transfers that need to be done and Chermiti would be a good start to that.

He’s a very raw player but he clearly has great potential with the Portuguese club giving him a new deal in February with a £67.5m release clause, and Everton have agreed to pay £14.9m to bring him to England.
The player and his representatives want higher wages than are currently being offered and realistically they’re likely to fall well within the wage structure considering what he was earning in Lisbon.
The new season is just a week away at this point and we need to get it over the line quickly to give him the best chance of making an impact. Just get it done.
In other Everton news, the club have held talks over the signing of an “Exceptional” attacker that Erik Ten Hag loves.
