Fabrizio Romano shares Everton transfer update as Demarai Gray only wants Fulham move
Everton attacker Demarai Gray is still not training as a precaution as he wants to move to Fulham this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Sky Sports Italy journalist reported on Saturday (5 August) that the 27-year-old Jamaica international is waiting for the two clubs to reach an agreement over the fee.
He’s already agreed on personal terms with the Cottagers and wants to leave Goodison Park.
Via Twitter, Romano wrote, “Demarai Gray only wants Fulham move. He’s still not training with Everton squad as precaution while club are in talks to reach an agreement. Gray agreed personal terms days ago with Fulham; his contract expires in June 2024.”
Get it done soon
Everton need the money in order to get new signings over the line and the sooner Gray’s exit is finalised the quicker they can bring in a replacement.
Leeds United’s Wilfried Gnonto is being linked with a move to Goodison Park and that does seem like a sensible replacement.
He can play all across the front three and will arguably be an upgrade on the Jamaica international so this could be a good piece of business by Everton.

It remains to be seen if they do manage to pull it off as Leeds desperately want to keep a hold of the Italian.
The Toffees will have other options and they will also be looking to get the Youssef Chermiti deal over the line as quickly as they possibly can.
Sean Dyche will be pushing for a new striker before the new season begins as they’ve already let him down in the January window.
In exclusive Everton news, the Toffees now have to pay £21.4m to land a Brazilian striker to lead their line for next season.
